It looks like Chuck is leaving Ankara. Nooo. Not yet but he is retiring from the military service. And last Saturday 26 March 2011 was his last training as a Colonel.

He played with us since 2008 and came to training every possible Saturday when he was in Ankara. From the very beggining when Hans made him to come one Saturday Chuck did a huge progress. Starting as a solid defender when everybody better stopped not to bump into wall he got some skills to pass and shoot the ball. Not much running but good positioning and radius where he block forwards became his advantage.

Chuck took over the responsibility of the team Captain and "President" when Hans left. And he was excellent. He helped to organise trainings and always spread friendship and fun among us.

To the end...it is not the end...Chuck will still be with us at least until summer when he comes back from USA after couple of weeks.

Chuck, we wish you all the best, enjoyable and healthy retirement, be always happy, have always a dash of luck and I am sure if little of this is sometimes missing your lovely Liz will always take care of you!

Farewell to Juan 17/02/2011

Saturday 12 February was the last training for our friend and a very good player Juan Carlos NUNEZ. As he was promoted to the first general rank he has to come back to his home country Chile. He used to come to our trainings for over one year and was very beneficial to increase the quality of our trainings as a well positional midfild player.  Not randomly he brought his son Rodrigo to get a little taste of football. We wish Juan and his whole family all the best, success at work and personal life and good luck for the future.

Farewells 30/09/2010

Recently, within a month, we were made to say GOOD BYE to 3 team players.
Picture
First of all it was Alberto at the end of August. YES, the one with his typical Italian style of game, his own humor and a great friend of all of us. We wish him and his family once more all the best in his future life back in Italy and hope to stay in touch.

Next it was Kamen from Bulgaria. Although he was not a member of AMAC he was a high vaulable defender in the team who also added a power of the team in the Ankara International League

And last who we had to say good bye was the one of three founders Petar from Macedonia. Although having knee problems (all football players have) he used to come regularly since the beggining and added the great piece of spirit to the team.

All the best to all. AMAC Football Team will miss you but we hope to stay in touch and may be some time we will meet to have fun around the ball.

Last two Saturdays we had farewells and last trainings for some of our friends. The first one it was Kujtim with Albi from Albania who we had to say good bye after three years being in Ankara and playing football with us. Not only on Saturdays but also at the Ankara International League.
Next it was Hans. One of three founders of AMAC Football Team, the Captain, the Coach, brain of the team and the most frequent player in the team since the begining.
As it was mentioned in the video we must highlight again the great idea of Hans, Petar and Mauro to play football on Saturdays. We are having a lot of fun and enjoying unforgatable moments not only by playing football but especially getting together friends from AMAC and the diplomatic comunity in Ankara. And this is the spirit of AMAC Football Team which keeps us all together.

The week after it was Nokia and Noel to say good bye to the team. Unfortunately there were no video camera to shoot a video. But we all know them well and will remember their words of appreciation having possibility to play for the team and enjoying the time in Ankara together.

Hans, Kujtim, Albi, Nokia and Noel we wish you all the best in your lives, good luck and of course good health. And don´t forget - DISZIPLIN!!!

Thanks Vasileios for your contibution in having fun not only around the ball, for your comradeship and grate time spent with you.
