AIL: Nordics vs. AMAC, 1:8 19/11/2009
Another victorious evening on our account. Although the first half was not the best perfomance we could have shown Kadir was keen to score even against his former team. At the beggining the game was a bit unorganized especially with not enough offensive support from our defence. First half ended 1:3 and lasted a for a quite long time. Unforunately an injury happen to a lady player from Nordics who had to withraw from the match. Due to lack of player on the opponent side we had an advantage to play six against five. With luck for us this made us to score more goals little easily. At the second half Markus received a yellow card. At this point I must stress to be carefull. The pitch is dangerous and slippery and bad injuries might happen. Other point is the AIL rule which stops the player for two matches after red card. And if the team is shown 3 red cards in total, the team will be disqualified. Anyway thanks for the game to everyone. Add Comment Ciao Vasileios 14/11/2009
Saturday November 14, 2009 was the last AMAC training in Ankara for Vasileios Tonas from Greece who used to play with us for more than two years. He was a very valuable midfield player while playing for AMAC team on trainings and some friendly matches. Apart of this he used to play mainly for the Team of Embassy of Greece in Ankara with which he managed to reach a second place in Ankara International League in 2009 spring season. Thanks Vasileios for your contibution in having fun not only around the ball, for your comradeship and grate time spent with you. We wish you and your family all the best, good health, luck and success in your private and work life. See the pictures AMAC start in AIL 12/11/2009
Wednesday 11 November, 2009, after a long trip from our offices almost the whole team managed to get to Gençlerbirliği football facilities at around 2000 hrs. We watched other matches from both groups and agreed that our first and opening game against Balkan team might not be as easy as last friendly game. The pitch is larger then the ones we used to play in past since our team is together. The game is played in 1+7 which is also not usual for us and the grass was wet and slippery. However the surface is brand new and very well prepared. One could think that the fast ball on wet grass would be our disadvantage but the contrary is the case. Yes, we started very concetrated and did not let our opponent combine with the ball in our side. With super fast Kadir in front the score was soon 5:0 and the half ended 8:0. Second half was in a similar esprit. Playing even more with precise and fast passes to sides additional goals came. Probably due to being relaxed in the second half Tomas did not scored from penalty by marking the cross pole. Well played the final score was 14:0 and we are looking forward to the next match Nordics vs. AMAC which is onWednesday 18 November 2009 at 1900 hrs. Come and see us at the İlhan Cavcav Tesisleri, Gençlerbirliği Spor Kulubü. Ankara (see the MAP) Another victory 10/11/2009
Yesterday November 09, 2009 AMAC Football Team played its last preparation friendly match before first game in the Ankara International League. Although our youngest player was most probably older then all players from opponent team we did not let them score more then 1 goal in 60 min. Thanks to our solid defence which blocked most of the attempts to lead the ball to our goal. And of course to Janos who caught all but one balls going to his temple. Additionally bearing in mind the strength of fast passes among midfielders and forward we confirmed that many teams will have to do a lot with this team. 14:1 is very promising but might lead to excessive self-confidence. But enough of compliments. Lets see how the team will deal with the larger pitch and the atmosphere of a league match. Good luck! |
